I’ve never bought any make-up from L'oreal Paris. Skincare, yes (as those of you who have read my post on their Clay Detox Daily Wash). I always saw L'oreal Paris – like Revlon and Max Factor and Physicians’ Formula – as the pricier end of the drugstore. Yet I found myself at Foschini a few weeks back … Continue reading L’oreal Paris Mattifying Infallible Foundation in ‘Amber’ Review
Hi all! I'm a big Essence fan because of the affordable pricing from this drugstore brand. So when my friend gifted me this palette for my birthday, I was over the moon. Let's see if my reaction was justified... Essence says: "8 trendy, matching rose colours that can be combined in every way. The soft … Continue reading Essence All About Roses Eyeshadow Palette Review
There was a time when everyone and their mom was posting videos of them applying the L'oreal Clay Masks on Social Media. What a great marketing campaign. While I watched and enjoyed these videos (Fashion Breed's one with her husband stands out as one of my faves), I didn't actually buy one. I felt that … Continue reading L’oreal Pure Clay Detox Wash Review
I've always wanted a kabuki brush. Specifically, a flat top kabuki brush that I could just use to apply foundation without the added effort of wetting a beauty sponge and dabbing over into oblivion. While this powder mattifies quite well, it carries the issue of flashback with it unfortunately. For some - especially those being followed by paparazzi or friends who enjoy flash accompanied boomerangs for Insta - that may be a problem. In terms of quantity; it is value for your buck.
The brush is soft to the touch and densely packed. The hairs are ombre, with neon pink edges. The handle is silver metal, decorated with black flowers. I try not to be distracted by packaging when it comes to cosmetics but I have to admit that the contrast colours and textures makes this brush really pretty and eye-catching.
The colour is really bright. Or at least it is when I wear it. I feel like it is more hot pink than berry. So wearing this requires you to be quite the daring gal 😉 See what I did there?!
I have seen local bloggers raving about the Wet n Wild Megalast Lipstick Range but for some reason, I never purchased one. Perhaps I was afraid that it was just another overhyped product. Was that fear unfounded? Read on to find out!
Rimmel was actually the first brand of foundation that I purchased to wear to a fashion show nogal. Aah, my short-lived career as a model. Hopefully, my blogging career is not as brief 😉 I got an SMS from Clicks saying that I qualified for some cashback on my Clubcard. Now, if you must know, … Continue reading Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in ‘Classic Beige’ Review
I love adding honey to the things I drink. Honey in ginger tea: wonderful! Honey in rooibos tea: yum! Honey in my body scrub...eh? It's been a while...or rather a week. I went away to Durban, KwaZulu Natal last week and my life was consumed with packing and bookings etc. But I'm back with a … Continue reading The Body Shop Honeymania Exfoliating Cream Body Scrub
